Benefits of Membership
This PUBLIC site has some basic information about our group and about homeschooling in Mississippi, and is a great site to refer friends who may be interested in homeschooling. It also has public events that are open to non-members, such as membership meetings & park days. Paid membership gives you access to our event calendar where all events an be found.

FIELD TRIPS & ACTIVITIES
PRCCHEA members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field trips & activities that our parent volunteers work so hard to plan for us. These outings include scheduled park days at local parks, parties, moms’ night outs, field trips and more. We also have various clubs and classes that are hosted by our families. Options we had in past years included craft club, book club, cooking club, finance class and more! Each year is full of meaningful activities that allow your family the opportunity to build friendships and learn together with other families. Members-Only activities are posted to our calendar and will be listed in our monthly newsletter. We have activities for all ages, as well as activities that are geared to specific age groups.

GRADUATION
PRCCHEA held our 13th annual graduation & award ceremony in June 2024 & it was a wonderful success! As a member of PRCCHEA, your students will be eligible to participate in our graduation and award ceremony for K, Middle/Jr. High and Senior High School. Graduates are given the option of wearing a cap and gown, and the ceremony is followed by a reception with cake, punch and display tables for families who choose to utilize them to recognize their children.
Note: For new members who join during the student's Senior High year (or the summer prior to Senior year), there will be a $20 graduation fee. This fee is in addition to your yearly dues, and ONLY applies to new members who are joining during the Senior year or summer prior and also wish to participate in our graduation. Graduates who have been PPRCCHEA members prior to Senior year will NOT be assessed this fee. The fee will be due at the first graduation meeting, normally held in February or March.
Statement of Faith
1. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
2. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was God, came in human flesh, being fully God and fully man, except without sin.
3. Christ’s death provides substitutionary atonement for our sins. He literally rose bodily from the dead.
4. Salvation is offered as a gift - free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.
5. Jesus will literally come to earth again in the Second Advent.
By applying for membership, prospective members acknowledge that PRCCHEA will be led by individuals who ascribe to this Statement of Faith and that Christian prayers are offered at meetings in keeping with this Statement of Faith. Only Leadership Team members are required to ascribe to the Statement of Faith and they are to do so in writing.

** Code of Conduct

1. All members, parents and children alike, have the right to participate in PRCCHEA activities without experiencing discourteousness, disrespect, or physical harm from any other member of the group. Each member is responsible for themselves and monitoring their own children.
2. We should strive to build up and encourage one another in our conversations. In all that we do, we desire to develop and maintain a reputation that encourages attendance at our events as well as an environment where everyone feels respected and accepted. Adults should ALWAYS be aware that children may be near and listening. Topics that are appropriate for adults may not be appropriate when children are present. Some conversations are best left for Mom’s Night Out.
3. Families should diligently avoid initiating any gossip and should immediately stop it if it does occur.
4. Parents are responsible for and expected to be in control of their children at all times. This supervision is necessary to ensure safety and avoid accidents. Parents should stay with their own children, unless arrangements are made for another parent to supervise your children. If your child is under the supervision of another adult, and you, the parent are not physically present, PRCCHEA will assume that the designated adult has your legal permission to act as that child’s authority in any and all circumstances that may occur and that adult has your full permission to make whatever decisions they deem appropriate and best for your child at all times, whether they be disciplinary or medical decisions.
5. If your child is blatantly misbehaving and you do not handle it (or do not see it) another parent may bring your child to you, explain the situation, and ask you to handle it. Please do not be offended.
6. We need to respect the facilities we are allowed to use and leave them in better condition than when we arrived. Please ask what you can to do help clean up after an event is finished.
7. We require every member to show respect and understanding when others' convictions differ from their own personal views. This is so that the unified purpose for the support group may be maintained. (Our unified purpose is to support home education in general and families that choose home education specifically) Should there be an issue or situation that cannot be resolved or which is extremely uncomfortable for any member, please bring it to the attention of those in leadership who will take it into prayerful consideration to find a peaceful, swift and satisfactory resolution.
8. We would like to encourage our PRCCHEA members to be at peace with each other, other homeschool groups, as well as with families that have chosen different educational options for their family. (i.e., public school, private school, etc.) As a Christian group we seek to be faithful to God’s word. The Bible teaches that attributes such as "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance" (Gal. 5:22-24) will evidence themselves in the life of the believer through the Holy Spirit. This fruit of the Spirit is to be sought, cultivated, and faithfully demonstrated in our relationships within the group.
